We snuck in under cover of darkness. We weren't meant to be there. It was a misty, moonlit night on the way in, and pissing with rain when we left at 8am.

We set up ambient microphones around the room - inside the pipework, high up in the access tower above. Each time we'd been in on our recces weeks earlier the room was really noisy - creaking, clattering - it always sounded like people were creeping around somewhere. This time it was incredibly quiet, even the birds didn't give us a dawn chorus. We only played for 10 minutes - someone saw security outside, and it put paid to a longer session. Still, an amazing 10 minutes...
